Mãe de Gémeos, Grávida de… GÉMEOS!

Já diz o ditado: “Depois da tempestade, vem a bonança”… Pois é, passado o susto de saber que estava novamente grávida de gémeos, em especial por ser em tão pouco tempo, vem a felicidade de assumir um novo barrigão.

E tem sido com essa felicidade e graça que tenho levado este momento. A gravidez está a correr lindamente, nada de anormal ou preocupante, apenas um pouco de anemia, mas nada que uma dose de ferro não ajude!

Claro que ser mãe de 2 + 2, em tão pouco tempo, tem os seus efeitos menos bons. Tive que parar de trabalhar pelas 19 semanas, pois já não aguentava estar todo o dia sem descansar. Claro está que o médico nem me deu hipóteses!

E mais: os esforços físicos foram proibidos e já não posso andar com eles ao colo. Assim, para nos ajudar nesta empreitada, tivemos que contratar uma empregada. Tivemos imensa sorte, a nossa empregada além de ser nova e ter muita energia, apegou-se imenso aos nossos gémeos. E como uma sorte nunca vem só (sei que a expressão é azar, mas nunca é tarde para a inverter e dar graças pelas coisas boas que nos rodeiam) a ajuda das nossas famílias e amigos tem sido muito importante.

Ainda que a palavra de ordem no meu dia-a-dia esteja a ser descanso, aprendi a dar muito sentido a uma outra: planeamento! De facto, com as coisas bem planeadas, há tempo para descansar sim, e tratar destas novas princesas que aí vêm, mas não descurar dos gémeos que já cá andam!

Temos vivido muitos bons momentos juntos. Entre idas à praia, à piscina, ao parque, ao jardim… uma coisa sempre se impõe: eles não perdem o sorriso que tanto os caracteriza. E enche-me o coração, vê-los a rir, deixando aparecer aqueles dois dentes da frente que lhes dá um ar de que fizeram asneira ☺.

    Cara Mariana, hoje enviaram-me a sua história – depois de também ter partilhado a minha com o público. No meu caso, descobri que estava grávida passado quatro meses do meu filho ter nascido e foi uma aventura e tanto ter dois bebés com um ano e uma semana de diferença. Mas por muita coragem que tenha tido ( e eu até acho que é mais amor, do que coragem), agora sinto-me uma verdadeira “menina” ao pé de si! Que grande valentia, ter quatro, com tão pouco tempo de diferença! Desejo-lhe a maior das felicidades e que continue a superar-se a si mesma, como só as mães sabem fazer. Um beijinho

    Olá Mariana, conheci hoje esta vossa família incrível, adoro e ainda só li meia dúzia de artigos. Parabéns pela gravidez! Toda a mãe de gémeos que engravida novamente, até fazer a primeira ecografia, vai sempre um bocadinho “à rasca” para saber se são gémeos novamente…mas ao mesmo tempo também pensa que seria muito giro ter dois pares de gémeos, ser novamente mãe a dobrar…foi assim comigo, tenho duas cerejinhas com 4 anos e agora um moranguito com 6 meses. Vou passar a seguir o blog! Ah, já agora, se calhar são os ares de Coimbra que há cá outra mãe de gémeos a dobrar 😉

In 1999, I was a recent college graduate who had just (a few days before New Year's) met my eventual husband.       I was in California in 1987 for a CICS class at the IBM training center. I was staying in the Holiday Inn on the fifth floor. They had an earthquake at night that was severe enough to toss me out of bed. Scary when you are half asleep. Power was out but fortunately I had a flashlight with me. Something I always do since that fire in a hotel in Dallas. Fire was tot my building but they cut power to entire complex.
