Os bebés e o frio!
Estamos numa altura de muito frio, em que as temperaturas baixaram muito e nós ficamos sempre mais apreensivos e alerta para as doenças dos nossos bebés.
Eles, ao contrário do que nós achamos, não sentem muito mais frio ou calor do que as crianças maiores ou os adultos. Aprendi com a minha pediatra que devia sempre vestir os meus filhos com uma camada de roupa a mais em relação àquela que eu estiver a usar.
Um bom truque para perceber se eles têm frio é sentir a temperatura na barriga, peito, costas… Na cabeça da criança então, nem se fala!… As extremidades são quase sempre mais frias que o resto do corpo.
Ao início, antes destas dicas, vestia muita roupa aos meus filhos. Eles choravam e eu não percebia o porquê… Até que uma vez, na consulta, levei um grande raspanete por ter os meus filhos tão agasalhados!!
Com a vinda do frio, além dos cuidados com as roupas que lhes visto, tenho sempre muita atenção à pele dos bebés. Cá em casa, como já contei, ponho sempre creme antes de saírem de casa para ter a certeza de que está bem hidratada.
E, mais uma vez, limpo-lhes sempre a cara com o meu aliado preferido, as Water Wipes. Nesta altura do ano a pele dos bebés fica sensível e gretada e é preciso muita atenção para não ficarem assados.
Ter estes cuidados ajuda a proteger a pele dos nossos bebés. Cá em casa, a Matilde e o Tomás já é mais fácil perceber se têm frio, porque já falam e vão dando feedback. Por outro lado, saem de casa cedo para a escola e tenho de lhes hidratar e limpar bem a cara para prevenir o cieiro.
