A palavra mimo dá pano para mangas, pode dar asas a muitas discussões e que, muitas vezes, não levam a lado nenhum.
Sou apologista de dar mimo aos filhos, aliás muito mimo, pois se não lhes dou agora enquanto são pequenos, quando vou dar?
Uma vez que tenho quatro filhos pequenos, dar mimo a todos e de forma igual é uma das minhas grandes dificuldades, um dos meus desafios diários. De facto, muitas vezes as bebés acabam por ficar prejudicadas, o que me deixa triste e desconfortável, mas é quase impossível não acontecer. No fundo, como são mais pequenas e não conhecem tanto o mimo, acabam por pedir menos, o que não significa que precisem de menos mimo, mas apenas que não o conhecem tão bem. Aliás, muitas são as vezes em que estou a brincar com elas e a Maria do Carmo vem ter comigo e deita a cabeça no meu colo e fica lá até lhe fazer festinhas, um momento que me enche a alma e que me deixa feliz o resto do dia.
Ter filhos não é fácil, é uma aprendizagem constante e uma luta connosco próprios para sermos mais e melhores pais.
São inúmeras as vezes em que as frustrações aparecem e em que tentamos fazer bem e acabamos por fazer mal. Não raras vezes sinto dificuldade em dividir atenções e a maior parte delas dou a todos ao mesmo tempo. No entanto, é importante ter momentos de mimo individual, apesar de nem sempre ser fácil, por, desde logo, vir outro que acaba por ver e ficar cheio de ciúmes e a querer mimo e atenção…
Uma cosa que tento que fique sempre claro, para mim e para quem me ajuda, é: mimo é bom, mas mudar regras ou deseducar pode afectar a família e levar a discussões, principalmente quando existem muitos filhos, o que significa que tem de existir o mínimo de regras para se conseguir levar o barco da melhor forma.
Mimo é bom, são crianças e precisam de mimo, de atenção e amor, se o temos para dar para que guardar? Assim, mimem os vossos filhos, não se retraiam, eles merecem. E, se eles o pedem, é porque querem. Contudo, lembrem-se sempre de não fugir às vossas regras. Esforcem-se para que esse mimo saudável não se torne doentio, não estrague o vosso descanso a dois como pais, é difícil mas é importante para a vossa sanidade.
P.S. Ainda hoje à tarde estavam as duas a brincar comigo no jardim com a bola e, do nada, a Maria do Carmo veio ter comigo, deita a cabeça no meu colinho e fica durante uns minutos, até que se levanta e dá-me palmadinhas na cara, muito querida! <3
