Desempenhar o papel de mãe é muito difícil, o maior desafio das nossas vidas.

Todas tentamos ser as melhores mães para os nossos filhos, mas às vezes não é assim tão fácil fazer tudo o queremos e muitas vezes não sabemos o que fazer.

Quando os nossos bebés estão nos primeiros meses de vida, normalmente até aos 3 meses, achamos que eles não fazem nada a não ser comer, dormir ou chorar, mas com o tempo vamos percebendo que não é bem assim.

Eles até aos 10 meses, todos os meses, aliás, dias, recebem estímulos e vão aprendendo coisas novas. Estão atentos a tudo e absorvem muita informação que se vai desenvolvendo à volta deles.

Às vezes até me irrita quando ouvimos alguém a olhar para os nossos filhos e a dizer: “Ainda é bebé, pelo que não tem piada, não faz nada!” Para mim isso não é verdade, um bebé vai fazendo e aprendendo muitas coisas, ao seu ritmo, mas todos os dias são dias de aprendizagem.

Eu sempre achei importante puxar pelos meus filhos, mas confesso que os primeiros tiveram muito mais sorte nesse campo. Foram os primeiros filhos e netos, então como é normal noto bastantes diferenças nos desenvolvimento. No entanto, as segundas estão bem para a idade em que estão, os primeiros é que acabaram por se desenvolver mais rápido do que o normal.

Uma coisa em que sinto que elas já me entendem bem é quando lhes peço para bater palmas, é óptimo, vê-las a responder.

A nossa voz, o puxar, o aplaudir e a nossa comunicação com eles é super importante para o desenvolvimento – os bebés percebem e sentem tudo.

Passar calma e segurança também é para mim das coisas mais saudáveis para o crescimento dos nossos filhos.

Existe uma infinita lista de brincadeiras, muitas que até achamos estúpidas para brincar e fazer com os nossos filhos enquanto eles são bebés.

Depois dos 12 meses, tudo é mais fácil já começamos a ter respostas, entendemos melhor o que querem ou precisam. Todas as fases são giras e todas um grande desafio.

Este tema, dá pano para mangas, mas acho que o essencial e a mensagem mais importante é: Todas as fases são importantes, no entanto, como podemos achar que os bebés não entendem nada, não nos podemos esquecer de os estimular e temos de lhes dar a mesma ou até mais atenção; eles têm que se sentir protegidos, queridos e ouvidos. São pequenos, é verdade, mas sentem tudo, temos de os estimular e aplaudir sempre que fizerem algo de bom!

    Para mim, a fase que gosto mais ( e da qual tenho mais saudades), é mesmo quando são bebés e dependem totalmente de nós.
    Em relação aos estímulos e desenvolvimento das gémeas, não se culpe por não ter tanto tempo para elas como com os 1ºs, é natural pois agora tem de se dividir por 4. Para além disso não é essa ideia que tenho… habitualmente, os filhos mais novos, são “puxados” pelos irmãos mais velhos e costumam fazer coisas e tornar-se independentes mais cedo… com os meus foi assim e também é o que a maior parte dos pais costuma relatar. Por isso “Keep Calm and Enjoy”, o tempo passa muito depressa e num abrir e fechar de olhos estão todos na faculdade…

        Beautiful Bashini, I pipe them all onto baking paper and then slide them onto a tray when I have room in the oven rather than leaving it in the bowl. I put one tray in and then when looking almost ready i move it to the lower rack in the oven and put a new tray in on the top rack.

    Quando comecei a escrever este comentário, ia escrever que a fase de que tenho mais saudades era do 1º ano. Depois lembrei-me das minhas meninas com 2, 3, 4 anos e não me consigo decidir 🙂 gostei de todas!
    Hoje, têm 13 anos e estou a adorar. Mas tenho muuuuiiitas saudades dos tempos do “colo”, ainda hoje em dia lhes “dou” colo e adoro. E elas precisam tanto.
    Tal como a Mariana disse e que eu concordo em absoluto, os bebés precisam de ser estimulados, e sentirem-se amados e seguros etc, e na minha opinião essas emoções/sensações são transversais a qualquer idade, com enquadramentos diferentes, como é óbvio.

      I’ll give it a try. We already cloth diaper, and I’ve often thought that I ought to stick the cloth wipes in the bathroom and have the kids use them. Maybe it will help them do a better job of wiping their bums than they do with toilet paper (if they can remember to put it in the diaper pail and not the toilet).
